What is Kentishtowner?
North London’s award-winning daily cultural guide. It was founded by broadsheet journalist Stephen Emms in 2010 and has built up a passionate and devoted following based mostly in central/north London.
We are a “good news” title and leave the hard stuff to other papers; instead we cover the arts, food, lifestyle, travel and people. We have broken stories locally and globally, gone from online to print – and the wider press has followed our every move, with features on us everywhere from the Sunday Times to a slot on primetime BBC1.

Advertising notes
Our 2012 Awards Readers Survey revealed that 57% of our readers are female, and 43% male. 39.8% are in the 30s, 32.8% are in their 20s, and 13.1% are in their 40s, with the remaining 15% spanning teens to 60s.
On February 1 2013 we launched our monthly 16 page full colour high quality print edition, which has a readership of 20,000 and is distributed at 50 key outlets across the Borough. This underlines our commitment to providing a service across multiple platforms – online, tablets and print media.
Our unique approach has been praised in international titles like The Guardian, Independent, FT, Time Out, Metro, Evening Standard and more. In July 2012 we were featured in the Sunday Times after being awarded funding from NESTA. See our press section.
